HCBL Accomplishments

The Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League is a non-profit organization that partners with local businesses and community members to provide eastern Long Island with world-class collegiate baseball in a small town setting. HCBL’s commitment to improving community ball fields and providing free family entertainment is evident by our impressive list of accomplishments:

  • Aggressive expansion of league— adding four teams in 2009, and two teams in 2012 in difficult economic times.

  • Construction of a state-of-the-art baseball facility at Stony Brook Southampton College that serves as the league’s Player Development Center.

  • Extensive improvements to Westhampton, Sag Harbor, Southold, Mattituck, Shelter Island and Montauk ballfields.

  • Annual HCBL/MLB Scout Days which are hailed as well-organized and set a positive tone for the future.

  • Free clinics conducted by all seven teams for area children.

  • Annual All-Star Games at venues like St. John’s University and MCU Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones (Single-A NYM).  The games are attended by over 20 major league scouts.
We’re are proud of our accomplishments, but not satisfied. Our goals are ambitious and we know that if we continue to raise the bar, we will become one of the elite summer collegiate programs in the nation.
