The accolades keep rolling in for former Riverhead right-hander Nick Tropeano. Perfect Game USA, the premier baseball scouting operation in the country, recognized Tropeano as one of the top 25
According to PGCrosschecker.com, the list identifies "the 25 college players who played the best, or assembled the best overall statistical profile." Tropeano won the pitching Triple Crown by leading the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League in wins (7), strikeouts (77) and earned run average (1.61). He was named the starting pitcher for the Kaiser Division All-Star Team, which defeated the Wolff Division reps 11-0 on July 11.
Tropeano was named as the second-best prospect in the ACBL behind Westhampton pitcher/shortstop Nick Ahmed (Connecticut). Two other Tomcats made the ACBL top 25, including Peter Greskoff (Brown), the league's co-MVP, who came in at No. 11, and Cass Hargis (SE Louisiana), who ranked 20th.
The PG list was topped by East Carolina first baseman Kyle Roller, who fueled the Bourne Braves' run to the Cape Cod Baseball League title
